Questions

Everything about the annual harvest.

How the reservation model works, why we import once a year, and what to expect between October in Italy and the tin on your counter.

  • What makes your olive oil different?

Harvested in Italy each October, sourced directly from family-owned farms, and imported straight to the U.S. with no middlemen in between.

We work on an annual ordering model with transparent sourcing and limited quantities each harvest — you are buying this year’s oil, not last year’s inventory.

  • How does it work?

Add your name to the list and pick your preferred tin size. When the new harvest is ready, we email you with ordering details so you can reserve your oil.

We then import it directly from Italy and ship it to you — enough fresh olive oil to last the year.

  • How long does the olive oil stay fresh?

When stored properly, extra virgin olive oil is best enjoyed within 12 to 18 months of harvest. Freshly harvested olive oil offers the best flavor, aroma, and naturally occurring antioxidants, which is why we import directly after each harvest.

  • When will orders ship?

Our olive oil is harvested in Italy each October. Once the fresh harvest is complete and the oil is prepared for export, we import it to the United States and begin shipping to customers.

Everyone on our reservation list receives updates throughout the process.

  • How should I store my olive oil?

Store your olive oil in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Avoid keeping it next to the stove or in a sunny window. Keeping the lid tightly sealed helps preserve freshness.

  • Why do you only import once a year?

Olives are harvested once each year, typically in the fall. Instead of stocking older inventory year-round, we import directly from the newest harvest so our customers receive fresh olive oil at its peak quality.

This annual model is similar to how many families in Italy purchase enough olive oil to enjoy until the following harvest.

  • Will I know which farm my olive oil came from?

Yes. Transparency is one of our core values. We share information about the farm that produced your olive oil, including its location, history, and the families behind it, so you know exactly where your oil originated.

  • Do I have to pay anything today?

No. Adding your name is free and carries no obligation. We will contact you with pricing and ordering details when this year’s harvest is ready, and you decide then.
